There are 3 ways you can order your repeat prescriptions:
- Order online: You can order online via systmOnline or NHS app. Please see the website for details of how to set this up.
- Bring in your prescription slip. Please circle the items you require and leave it in the box provided in the waiting area.
- If you can’t order online or bring in your prescription slip you can order by telephone. Just call the normal surgery number at any time, including when we’re closed, and select the option to leave a message to order your prescription.
To have your prescriptions sent to a pharmacy electronically, sign up in the practice or at your pharmacy.
Your prescription will be ready for collection in 48 hours (2 days).
If you are signed up to Electronic Prescribing your prescription will be sent directly to your nominated pharmacy. Please allow 96 hours for the pharmacy to process the request.
If you have difficulty coming to the surgery the local chemists operate a collection and delivery service. Telephone your local pharmacist for further information.
Please help us to run to time by not requesting repeat prescriptions during consultations.
Concerns about letters from pharmacies
We would like to assure you that we do not, and are not allowed, to endorse a specific pharmacy. We are aware Pharmacy2U sometimes send letters to patients that may imply we would recommend them as your chosen pharmacy. These letters are not written by us and we have no contribution to the content. All patients are able to choose their own pharmacy.
Non-urgent advice: Important note
In order to maintain the highest possible standards of medicine safety we will now require at least 48 hours to fulfil any request for medication.
The pharmacy will also require a further 48 hours to dispense their medication. To help reduce waiting times, speak to your receptionist about nominating a local dispenser in which your prescription can be sent electronically, this enables the chemist to receive your prescription much quicker and may help reduce the waiting times.
